Brijesh Kumar is working as an assistant professor inĀ Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering and Center of Nanotechnology at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee, India since 2014. Prior to this, he worked for Cypress Semiconductor as Process Development EngineerĀ Sr. in Bloomington, MN, USA for 1 year. He completed his Ph.D. in electrical engineering from University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, USA in 2013. His thesis was Charge Transport in Quantum Dot – Light Emitting Devices under the supervision of Prof. Stephen A. Campbell and Prof. P. Paul Ruden. He was awarded Graduate School Fellowship and 3M Fellowship for a total of 5 years while at University of Minnesota. He completed his B.Tech. in electrical engineering from IIT Delhi in 2007. The Novel Materials and Devices (NoMaD) Research Group at IIT Roorkee researches new materials and devices for semiconductor industry. Our areas of interest are:

  • Organic solar cells / light emitting diodes
  • Quantum dot based light emitting devices / solar cells
  • Novel materials to improve semiconductor manufacturing
  • High temperature electronic materials and devices
  • Nanostructure fabrication
